Facility Manager at Pinnacle Parkour Academy Philadelphia
A little background on our facility:
Pinnacle Parkour Academy Philadelphia is Philly’s premier Parkour gym. Over 11,000 square feet for Parkour, freerunning, tricking, tumbling, and ninja warrior. Our goal is to inspire people through movement. Our Parkour programming offers safe and progressive training methods, ensuring physical and mental advancement through the discipline of Parkour & Freerunning. As a gym, we are driven by culture and community. We work tirelessly to ensure our coaches, facility, affiliates, programming, and obstacles change lives and impact people of all ages in a positive way.
At all times, you’ll be focusing on providing a satisfactory and enjoyable customer experience, whilst ensuring that high standards of hygiene, health, growth and safety are met. You are responsible for creating a professional and productive work environment for all employees. You will work as a liaison for members and employees to enhance the PPK Philly experience. Our ideal candidate will provide direction, leadership, and uphold our facility standards while handling complaints and resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
Confident in doing research and problem solving, strong ability to think outside of the box and give new ideas to improve the company.
Ability to manage: memberships, retail and private training. Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in-person, on the telephone and via email
Ability to excel in a fast-changing, diverse environment
Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgement
An affinity and passion for fitness and community
Solid writing and grammar skills
Highly organized, proficient in data management and social media, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Professional, punctual, reliable and neat
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public
Proficiency with computers
Conduct monthly (or as-needed) meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer direction, motivation and guidance toward achieving individual and company goals
Assists in hiring, training, and supervising all staff and interns
Responsible for making sure all membership issues are resolved
Update past due accounts
Manage payroll, supplies budget and ordering inventory
Uphold company standards
Thoroughly know MINDBODY and ready to learn our systems
At least 1 year of managerial experience (health or fitness area preferred)
Prior experience supervising and developing staff is required
Proven leadership ability in an educational, fitness or professional setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess honesty and personal integrity.
Be enthusiastic, energetic and personable.
Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the service and fitness industry.
Hardworking and diligent.
Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving and follow-up skills
High School Diploma or GED equivalent REQUIRED

Intern Job description:
Check people in using our Mindbody POS System.
Watch open gym, while enforcing rules, and making sure everyone is safe.
Complete basic computer tasks, and simple research.
Help clean facility at the end of your shift.
Work one (8 hour) shift per week.
Be open to being taught new systems and skills.
In return you will gain unlimited access to everything we offer at our facility, as well as be taught the necessary skills to potentially gain paid employment at our facility.
